Come celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at your favorite independent bookstores, Weller Book Works and King's English!
What is Independent Bookstore Day?
Independent bookstores are not just stores, they’re community centers and local anchors run by passionate readers. They are entire universes of ideas that contain the possibility of real serendipity. They are lively performance spaces and quiet places where aimless perusal is a day well spent. This is a day to celebrate and support independent bookstores, to reacquaint ourselves with the integral part they play in the community, and to remind ourselves that worlds of magic still exist. Weller Book Works (607 Trolly Square, Salt Lake City, UT) and King's English are two of 400 stores participating nationwide.

11-11:30 AM - Story Time with Lila - inside Weller Book Works 12-1 PM - @Heather Fisher reads and signs The Kallisti - inside WBW 1-2 PM - Bonnie Glee reads and signs Token Woman - inside WBW 2-3 PM - Chris Gleason does a demo from and a signing of Wood Pallet Projects - South Court, Trolley Square 3-4 PM - LitProv, a literary-based improv workshop with Natalie Keezer - South Court, Trolley Square 3-5 PM - Stenciling with Tony: Bring an article of clothing and owner Tony Weller will stencil one of his own custom designs on it - inside WBW 5-6 PM - Jennifer Wardell reads and signs Beast Charming - inside WBW 7-9 PM - Reception
Free bagels from the Bagel Project and coffee from Coffee Connection as long as it lasts! Scavenger hunts, book making, and other projects and activities throughout the day!
