Neighborhood Gig

Tired of just waving at your neighbors as they pull into their snow covered driveways? We were too, so we put a flyer on their doors saying let's gather at Porcupine Grill (just down the street and around the corner) for breakfast and friendship-sharing.
We found out one neighbor has an e-book out, another had triplets, one is celebrating her 70th birthday today. Two fathers had switched jobs, a couple were called on an LDS service mission, and a neighbor gal just lost her father. A recently widowed neighbors is traveling the world, another couple is going abroad this spring, and a gal we thought had retired is still working.
Can't learn all that with a wave. So glad we got together. Spring will come.

Great Family Time

Wow, what a couple of breathtaking family days, and the snowy, blowy winter storms stayed in the mountains for the BEST SNOW ON EARTH in Utah.
It all started with a Jensen Cousin Birthday gathering at our favorite spot, Maddox in Brigham City.
Left to right, Sandee, Vickey (birthday girl, 70ish) picture in the window-seal gave us two cousins who live far away, Syl and Karey, then Lynda, Tena and me. We phoned in Syl and Karey to help sing. What a dear bunch.
Then up to Cache Valley we went with homemade salsa and chip to our great-grand-daughter's LDS baby blessing. She proudly wore the very dress her mommy was blessed in. Such a great celebration. Daddy, Matt, Mommy Kacey and 2 month old Tesley.

Then we dropped by to wish our great-grandson, Axel a happy 3rd birthday giving him a Dr. Axel lab coat, scrubs and stethoscope.
We were invited to grand-daughter Samantha's 16th birthday party where we ate chocolate cake with her favorite purple frosting.
Grand-daughter Mel is making a beautiful champagne satin gown for her sister Brandalin to wear to the upcoming Sweetheart ball.

Book Debut

I'm eating, sleeping, and breathing with the excitement of the publication by Safkhet Publishing of my novel, SALLEE'S SECRET this September. Kinda hard to even concentrate on writing my newest novel. So pleased to have Unlocked My Dream.
Keep dreaming, everybody! Dreams, along with a lot of work and determination will make it happen. I've been chasing my dream with SALLEE'S SECRET for over four years.
Next, I dream, like J.D. Salinger to have a poem printed in the New Yorker someday.
My thanks to all of those, my hubby Joe especially, for support and encouragement along this dream-ride.

Super Bowl

I can't put my finger on WHY we (I) have to have a Super Bowl party. All of our children live too far away to just pop in, some don't participate in social media on Sunday, but this year we were so pleased to enjoy what some say was the most boring Super Bowl in history with our grandson Jefferson and his girlfriend Kim.
We laughed all day Saturday as we cooked and did dishes five times; but well worth it come Sunday's kick-off. Grandpa Joe fried up hot sauce dummies and Mr. Yoshida's drummies to go along with baked beans, potato salad, hot-raspberry dip with crackers and baked artichoke dip with Frito. All washed down to make room for more by root beer, coke or wine.We celebrated the Sea Hawk win with Robert Redford cake.
Thanks kids for sharing this time with us. Next time bring Yorkie, Charlie. See you next year and I'll make B.T.S. cake.  Loved, loved the warming tray the Thomson family gave us for Christmas. Perfect for keeping food warm during the entire game. Wish the whole family could have been here.
