READER REVIEWS

What you think as you read SATIN MURDER would be most helpful as I continue to write more novels. Please email (bjthomas8@juno.com) and let me know what you are thinking.
Here is one that I received over the past couple of months . . .

The past weekend opened new signing horizons, a busy, busy spudnut shop, Johnny O's in Logan, Utah was delicious experience.

Patrons from all walks of life chatted and gave hugs of support; being a first time novelist reaps many rewards. We authors would be dead at the computer without you READERS.
Thanks for loving our WORDS.
My time at the Logan Library was heartwarming. Cousin Lynda dropped by. Darla and Tom Moore too along with all those that went in and out all afternoon.

Open House Book Signing

Hi,
Please join me during my open house book signing this Saturday, November 22 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
at 3570 Summer Hill Drive (watch for red signs). Warm wassail and cookies await your visit.

I feel so much gratitude in my heart as I share the following SATIN MURDER book review with you . . .

Bonnie,

My name is Zach Zundel and I work at Weller Book Works. After you visited, I purchased a copy of your book. I confess that I was skeptical about it: many self-published or eBook-exclusive books I have read are on these limited markets for a reason - they're okay at best (and illegible at worst.) To be honest, your book sat on my shelf for a week or so as I gathered the resolve to try it out.

I am nearly angry with myself for that lost week without your story. Once I picked it up, I wrapped myself in your words and devoured the book in an afternoon. When I emerged, I regretted only the fact that I hadn't taken time to savor your writing. Apparent is the years of effort you spoke of in your book-talk - it's clear you considered each word, pondered each phrase, and artfully constructed a world that I cannot wait to return to when I next need a delightful afternoon.

Thank you for coming into the store. Thank you for writing. Thank you for your story.

Admiringly,
Zach Zundel

New Acquaintances

How many times this past week have you encountered a new acquaintance and walked away feeling renewed? The most friendly place to go for an experience like this is the WISEBIRD BOOKERY, in Ogden, Utah on Harrison Blvd. It was my pleasure to visit with those there during my book signing this past weekend. Make a special trip to visit them and while there maybe pick up my novel, Satin Murder. It will be a great gift for that Thanksgiving Host/Hostess to relax with AFTER the big day.

A Hodgepodge of Activities

The past three weeks have rendered some fascinating activities . . .

We celebrated with our daughter Angee and family for her 47th birthday
Yah, we had to go to work, do the laundry, clean house and all that stuff, but come the weekend of October 25th it was up the Preston Citizen Book Store for a signing. Not much traffic but great hospatality by Ann and Rhonda. Sis Jean took the trip with me and that made it most special.
Have you been working feverishly preparing your yard for winter? We bagged up seven bags of leaves and put the patio furniture in the gazebo on Saturday, November 1st before heading to the Weller Book Works in Trolly Square for a presentation and book signing. What an amazing place to be in, little ole me, an author, among so many. It was a real privilege to sign there. It meant so much to have some dear friends drop by . . .

PEOPLE YOU MEET

Think over your past couple of weeks and the many people you have encountered . . . did any of them leave a smile on your face? A warm spot in a special pocket of your heart? A glow to your soul?

Here are a few of the ones I met  that did.

Show and tell me about your encounters. Do you know any of mine pictured above?

YOU TEACH ME SO MUCH

You are so meaningful to me; you that stop by the table where I sit sharing the joy of my unlocked dream of becoming a published author. You, the reader, ask questions that we can discuss, like where did I come up with the names of my characters. Did I use names of people in my life or just pick them at random?. You helped me realize that I somehow brought forth names from my past as well as names found in a phone book. Thank you.

You tell me that you too would like to write but you just don't know how to start, so I show you how I learned to 'brain storm'. The interest in your eyes gives me the desire to learn of your life, to encourage you to write of your experiences for your family, for history. Thank you.

You saw my motto on the table beside my novel that says, "If you can dream it, you can do it", and because you just came from a class that talked of following your dreams, you stopped by. You gifted me with a feeling of delight in achieving my dream and your smile of kinship. Thank you.

Each one who stops by has a story to share that teaches me that the real joy in life, is each of YOU.
