AHH, the mountains

Why, you ask, does a retired couple choose to go ATVing on a busy Saturday when every other day of the week is readily available? . . . Mother Nature, it finally quit raining. So Dandalion Girl and hubby Joe spent a day on the trails in Main Canyon by Daniel's Summit.
Joe so enjoys the splendor of nature, and Dandelion Girl LOVES the puddles! WHEE!

SUMMER/RETIREMENT FUN BEGINS

Dandelion Girl, and hubby Joe are at it again . . .
While exploring near our campsite we discovered this make-shift hut. I couldn't help but think of our lost Susan Powell; so wish her remains could be found so her loved ones could have final peace.

We so enjoyed our two most favorite camping buddies, a roaring fire and a full moon.

Many sights of flowing runoff gave us lots of puddles to drive through (one of my favorite things to do), until the trail to Iron Mine Lake in Soapstone Basin was blocked by snow.

Retirement gifted us leisure weekdays in the beauty of nature instead of a hurried weekend. SUPER!

AUTHOR AT LARGE

It has been pure joy, these past three weeks, finding our place in the world as a retired couple.
My writing time has been shelved, but my novels are still active at HASTINGS in Logan, Utah. Pick up a copy while you are there.
Our grand-daughter, Brandalin Thomas, has just finished the rough draft of her first novel; what a super read. Thanks for sharing it with me.

Hubby's Milestone Day - RETIREMENT

My Joe has succeeded with years in the working world, congratulations, it's time for YOU to never pick out another set of work clothes, fix another to-go cup of coffee, walk out the door to go to work, or drive away to work again! Welcome to YOUR WORLD!

Local Author Bookfest and Presentation

If I sell but one book during a signing, it has been a success. My thanks to the many retailers who welcome me to a little corner of their businesses, such as Starbucks this past Saturday.

I invite lover of new stories to attend the following with me:

Independent Bookstore Day!!!

Come celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at your favorite independent bookstores, Weller Book Works and King's English!

What is Independent Bookstore Day?

Independent bookstores are not just stores, they’re community centers and local anchors run by passionate readers. They are entire universes of ideas that contain the possibility of real serendipity. They are lively performance spaces and quiet places where aimless perusal is a day well spent. This is a day to celebrate and support independent bookstores, to reacquaint ourselves with the integral part they play in the community, and to remind ourselves that worlds of magic still exist. Weller Book Works (607 Trolly Square, Salt Lake City, UT) and King's English are two of 400 stores participating nationwide.
