popularity, but her beauty, intelligence, and savviness won’t stop her from being
implicated in the cold murder of her husband, who was found dead in his office
with a single bullet to the head. What’s more, Sallee’s pistol is missing. Lawyer
Ryan is now hot on the case trying to unravel the mystery, but will he make it in
time to save Sallee from jail and disgrace?
Disgrace is not all that threatens Sallee’s happiness. With suspicious family and
friends surrounding her, Sallee doesn’t know who to trust, especially not with this
kind of secret.

Contest

I'm looking forward with trepidation and pure excitement my launch date of September 1, 2014, when my first published novel, SATIN MURDER, will be released. I'm busy visiting with friends, bookstores, and media to set up various signing and interview venues. I will announce on Sept. 1st where you can go on the internet to read a snip-it and possibly purchase my book if you are interested.  I will include a list of book signings, and I hope one will be in your area, so, if nothing else you can stop by and say hi.
A 'guess that number in a tightly sealed blue envelope' contest (number between 1-113) will begin on launch day with the winner receiving an autographed copy. In case of a tie, the time on the entry (via email, text, face book, LinkedIn, Goodreads) will determine the winner. Don't forget to include your mailing address.
Hope to hear from you bright and early September Morn.

The dream is REAL

Oh, my goodness . . .
A proof of my soon to be released novel, SATIN MURDER, arrived at my doorstep, a year in the making. I call myself the 1/2 and 1/2 author; published by a traditional publisher, Safkhet Publishing and self-printed through CreateSpace (it's a long story). So overjoyed to hold and know my dream has been unlocked.
Look out marketing world, here we come. Book to be released September 1, 2014 on Amazon.com (www.amazon.com/dp/1500334804) and CreateSpace (www.createspace.com/4874887).
Watch for my author signing places and times to be announced via face book, twitter, lindedin, and good old fashioned e-mails throughout the next several months. I hope you will stop by, if nothing else just to say Hello.

GLORIOUS MOUNTAINS

We packed up BJ, our RV, placed the newly charged batteries into their compartments and headed off for Soap Stone Basin for the weekend.
After finding the camp spot by the stream that we love I scouted for my dandelions. I was so disappointed to only find two that had gone to seed.
But the joy of all the sunflowers at sunset whisked away my sorrow.
We ate our grilled burger and sat in the twilight beside a reverent fire. This Haiku came crawling into my mind:
Brook babbles behind
us, while quiet Douglas Fir fire
lights dark moonless night.
Batteries working, we turned out the lights for the night.
Excitement of the morning having battery to pump coffee/mocha water was drenched. No power.
Another trip with jumper cables, something is terribly amiss. My Joe has done everything possible
even bought a new charger, still . . .
I put our drinks in the brook, made our famous tuna sandwiches and silverhelmets headed for the trails.
Dandelions, finally, oh glorious day . . . All is right with the world.

Joe offered OFF spray to a young father and his twin boys who arrived at our lunch spot, Iron Mine Lake, to fish. A peaceful day in the woods.

Silver Helmets Begin 2014 in the Uinta Forest

We began our journey to the mountains by traveling over Daniel's Summit towards Coop Creek turn off toward a favorite camping spot in the Currant Creek area only to find the gate locked until June 30th. So we took the scenic route (one of seemingly favorite things we do). After a very dusty ride we arrived to find OUR camp spot taken; every corner had a tent in it (so nice to see tents instead of trailers and noisy generators). Down the road we continue and find, as usual the perfect spot for us with LOTS OF DANDELIONS.
Dandelion Girl is in her realm again. Joe unloaded Ruffus and out came the silver helmets.
Where, but our glorious mountains can you find such peaceful beauty . . .

or see such wonder . . .
We ate our traditional burgers but without fries on Friday evening after setting up camp, rode over 30 mountain miles on Saturday. It was chilly with wind all day; turned on Ruffus's hand warmers, such comfort.
Gathered wild flowers for our coke-vase inside home sweet home, BJ. Then after a steak, grilled potato and tossed salad dinner we sat by the fire and listed to the silence.

Of course I had to read some short stories from my publisher,Safkhet's latest anthology, ROMANTIC HEROS (one of which is mine, so blessed). Technology is WONDERFUL.
C/Ya, Bye for now  . . .

Family Time

There is nothing better than Joe's family from Logan, Utah down for flank steak lunch and better than sex cake on the patio. How about this 'selfie'?? !!
